Event Name:GriefShare Leader Training Class
Date:September 25, 2022
Start Time:2:00 PM
Duration:1 day
Description:

We equate grief with a sad feeling, and it is indeed that, and so much more. It affects us physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, sometimes in ways we don’t recognize. The GriefShare program is designed to help us navigate our way through it all.  If you have experienced profound loss and want resolution, be it recent or in the past, GriefShare can help you come to terms with the past, find courage for the present, and hope for the future.

St. Edith is offering this ministry and we are receiving an overwhelming response.

We need your help.

Please consider taking our 2-hour Leader Training Class – that’s the only training you will need. This ministry requires a minimal amount of your time, and the rewards are  astronomical!

We need both men and women. If you are looking for a way to let the Love of God in you flow out to hurting brothers and sisters in Christ, please consider becoming a leader, co-leader or standby.

Please note! Anyone can be a leader! It doesn't take being a counselor or Psychologist. It is not sad or depressing, but inspiring and rewarding working with people who are grieving as you see them grow and heal and move from Mourning to Joy!

Learn more about this opportunity at our next Leader Training Class on Sunday, September 25, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm in the AV room. You can come just to check it out, you can decide after the class if you want to pursue becoming involved.

Any questions, please call Patti Kelly at 734-464-1222, ext. 301 or email pkelly@stedith.org.

More about GriefShare

GriefShare is a 13-week cycle of one meeting a week for approximately 2 hours. Each meeting has 3 components: a video presented by professionals in the field that touch on the many different aspects of grief and give a method of coping, a group discussion as to how the group participants related to the video, and a workbook that has an exercise for each day to help reinforce the information in the video.
