St. Christine's Soup Kitchen Needs More Volunteers!
For several years now we have sent a team to St. Christine’s on the third Saturday of the month during the months of January – February – March – April – May – June – July – September & October. When we first formed teams we were told we needed between 5 & 8 people per team but that has changed!
St Christine’s needs 8 people minimum per team; currently we have three teams, and only one team has 8 people on it; the others are 5 and 6 people teams. If someone doesn’t show up for their scheduled weekend it can cause real problems!
I am appealing to you in this article: if you can spare one Saturday morning 3 to 4 times per year (if you’d like to serve on more than one team that’s great!) please let me know and will be happy to add you to a team. This is also a great opportunity for anyone needing Service Hours for anything.
You would need to arrive at St Christine’s by 11:15 a.m. and you should be finished within a couple hours. St Christine’s is located at 22261 Fenkell,
If you are interested please email me at tsheffield@stedith.org or give me a call at 734—464-1222 Ext 309.
Thank you in advance for considering this most worthwhile outreach. Toni Sheffield
2018 Christmas Outreach
A peek behind the scenes of the Christian Service Holiday Outreach Committee on Loading/Delivery Day. They are loading up our parishioners’ cars who will deliver the food and the gifts from the Giving Tree to families for their Christmas dinner and to stock their pantries. And thanks to Nathan D. and Christian D. for putting together this video!
