K - 6th Grade Religious Education
Thank you to everyone for a great year of Religious Education classes and for all your cooperation with all of our safety protocols.
Religious Education sessions for 2020-2021 may have come to an end, but please remember, while we may not be meeting for class over the next few months, our faith formation for our students, (and all of us really), does not take off for summer vacation. We need to continue to strengthen our relationship with our Lord everyday through prayer, reflection, attending Mass, and receiving the Eucharist. I hope to see our students, especially the newly Confirmed and those who have made their First Communion, at masses throughout the summer months.
Stay tuned for information on our 2021-2022 year.
Thank you and God Bless!

Volunteer Opportunity - Planning for the Fall!
At Pentecost, all who were in the room were filled with the Holy Spirit. They then went out into the streets, among the people from around the world who were gathered in Jerusalem, to spread and teach the Good News. This sharing of faith and the Good News is the work of a catechist. If you have ever considered sharing your faith with our young people and are willing to commit the time and energy to weekly classes by being a catechist or classroom aide, please contact Linda Kramer firstname.lastname@example.org or 734-464-2020 ext. 308. Being a catechist is a rewarding experience that not only teaches our young people but strengthens your relationship with Jesus at the same time!
About the Religious Education Program
Religious Education classes include preparation for the completion of the Sacraments of Initiation; Reconciliation and Eucharist during the second grade.
The goal of our Religious Formation Program is to provide an awareness of God’s presence in our children's lives and an appreciation, connectedness and better understanding of the Catholic faith and its traditions. We look forward each year as we partner with our parents helping our young people further their understanding and practice of our Catholic Faith as they take another step closer in getting to "Know, Love & Serve" the Lord here at St. Edith!
All catechists participate in the Protecting God's Children program. If you would be interested in sharing your faith and helping our children understand the faith more consider giving your time to this ministry! Contact Linda Kramer for more information at email@example.com or 734-464-2020.
