Event Name:Giving Tree & Christmas Food Collection
Date:December 7, 2019
Start Time:All Day Event
Duration:2 days
Description:

Giving Tree tags will be available starting the weekend of November 23 & 24. Choose a tag to provide a gift that will go to local families, First Step Battered Women’s Shelter, some families through Loaves & Fishes of Southwest Detroit and Franciscan Ministries in Detroit for their street ministry.  We also ask for gift cards for Kroger, Meijer and gas stations in any denomination.

If you choose to take a tag or tags, please wrap the gift, attach the tag to it, and put it back under the tree by Monday, December 16 (any gifts that come in late cannot be used). Later that same week our Volunteer Elves will be sorting and packing the gifts and readying them for delivery on Saturday morning, December 21.  Note: tags with no code name do not need to be wrapped.

You will also find the Drop Box in the Gathering Area for non-perishable food donations for our Christmas Outreach. As always, if you would like to make a monetary donation to help defray the cost of the perishable foods we purchase for our families, that would be very much appreciated.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call or email Toni Sheffield in the Christian Service Office (734) 464-1222, ext 309 or tsheffield@stedith.org.

Important Message from
St. Edith Catholic School

On April 2, 2020 Governor Gretchen Whitmer issued Executive Order 2020-35, which extended the closure of all K-12 school buildings – public, private, and boarding – to all students for the remainder of the school year. Like her prior executive orders, this was done to help combat the spread of Coronavirus. St. Edith Catholic School, along with all Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Detroit, is prepared to complete this academic year via distance learning instruction.

Please read this letter from the AOD Catholic School Superintendant regarding the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.

Virtual Learning

Our teachers, students and parents have done a great job transitioning to virtual learning! Here are some photos and a video of how things are going!
