Helen Paciero, Parish Secretary

My name is photo of Helen PacieroHelen Paciero, and I am so happy to be a part of the St. Edith community.  My dear mother lived behind St. Edith at Villa Marie for many years, and I enjoyed attending Mass with her.  Who knew I would end up working here just a few years later?  I grew up in a close-knit Irish family with two loving parents, two brothers and one sister, and attended mostly Catholic schools growing up (St. Suzanne and Bishop Borgess).  I graduated from Madonna University with a degree in Business Management.  I worked as an Executive Secretary at the Cadillac Division of General Motors until 1989 when our first child was born and I wanted to stay home and raise our family.  After many years at home and volunteering at the Catholic schools our children attended, I returned to the workforce at St. Robert Bellarmine in Redford as their part-time librarian.  I eventually added other part-time positons as RE secretary at Prince of Peace in West Bloomfield and part-time librarian at St. Mary in Wayne before eventually becoming the full-time school secretary at St. Mary for seven busy, fun-filled years.  I eventually decided to work part-time again in order to help care for an aging parent and that is what brought me to St. Edith Parish in February of 2018.  My husband Frank and I have been happily married for over 35 years, and we have been blessed with three wonderful adult children, a daughter-in-law and a son-in-law we adore and four beautiful grandchildren!  I truly love my work here in the Parish Office, and I am happy to be a part of the warm and welcoming community at St. Edith.
