Lenten Almsgiving Project

As we have done for the past few years, during Lent we will be doing a special collection of items for a different organization every weekend as our “Lenten Almsgiving Project.” You may choose to participate in as many of them as you would like.  Below you will find a schedule of what will be collected each weekend.  

You may drop donations off to the Gathering Area when you come to Mass on the weekend specified.  

February 25-26: LIGHTHOUSE MISSION Lenten Almsgiving Project Six Weekends to Give

  • Disposable Soup bowls
  • Mens' white socks
  • Men's gently used or new winter gloves
  • Hats and scarves.

March 4-5: BLESSINGS IN A BACKPACK

  • Full Size boxes of Cereal
  • Macaroni & Cheese
  • Monetary Donations

March 11- 12: RIGHT TO LIFE BABY SHOWER

  • New baby clothing
  • Diapers
  • New or gently used items such as walkers, play yards, etc are also accepted 

March 18-19: POPE FRANCIS CENTER

  • Laundry detergent

March 25-26: VISTA MARIA

  • Leggings Adult Size XS – XXXL
  • Jeans Adult Size 10-20
  • Electric Shavers

April 1-2: ST CHRISTINE’S FOOD PANTRY

  • Food collection (all non perishable foods accepted)

This year for the St. Edith Catholic School Auction we are going down to the derby with a Kentucky Derby themed event on Saturday, April 29, 2023! We are also looking for auction item donations, advertisers for the auction program, and event sponsorship.
