ST. EDITH KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

The St. Edith Knights of Columbus Council is sponsoring a winter clothing and toiletry drive to benefit a local school district. The drive will take place the weekend of January 15 and 16, 2022. We will be supporting the Wayne-Westland Family Resource Center. The Family Resource Center provides everyday toiletries for families in the Wayne-Westland Community School District. They also provide for hundreds of homeless families across the district.

Over that weekend, we will be collecting new basic toiletries (See List) as well as new socks, underwear and any size winter hats, gloves, scarfs, mittens for children in grades K-12.

  • Toilet paper, Shampoo, Conditioner

  • Toothpaste (Adults and Children)
  • Toothbrushes (Adult and Kid Sizes)
  • Bar Soap, Hand Soap (Pump)
  • Hair Brushes/Combs
  • Sanitary Pads/Tampons for Women

Welcome to St. Edith Catholic School!

Building Updates

  • New boilers were installed to replace our 30 and 40 year old boilers.

  • The technology company completed the rewiring of the building. They are working now on the computer lab, so your auction dollars will be up and running on the first day!

  • Water filling stations were installed in water fountains around the building, and pitchers with Brita filters are in the preschool classrooms. This is aligned with the Clean Drinking Water Access Act of 2023. https://www.michigan.gov/egle/about/organization/drinking-water-and-environmental-health/school-drinking-water-program/filter-first

  • Continuing with the safety upgrades from last year, shatterproof film was installed over the front doors, front windows, and all downstairs windows. The back door was replaced to be up to building code. We also installed the panic latch to release the double doors inside the building in case of an intruder.
