My name is Dan Vincent, and I recently joined Parish Council as of January 9, 2023. I am the Evangelization/Welcoming/Hospitality Commission representative for the council. Our family joined St. Edith in April 2022. Prior to that we were members for 50 years at Our Lady of Loretto parish in Redford, MI. I am a graduate of the University of Detroit and Catholic Central High School. My wife, Karen and I are parents to Lyndsay (Alex) Hoorn (27), Emily (26) and Natalie (21). We are also blessed with a granddaughter, Sophie (1.5) We are active members in the parish – I am an Usher, a teacher for Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) and I am a member of the parish Funeral Ministry. We are so excited to members of the St. Edith family! The “All Are Welcome” message is one of the things that drew us to St. Edith. Our parishioners are so welcoming and inclusive. It made the transition from my childhood parish at O.L.L. to St. Edith much easier. I believe that to be an effective council that we must continue to be collaborative, transparent and creative. We need to continue to promote input from our fellow parishioners and truly listen to their perspectives and ideas. I look forward to learning more about St. Edith through this Council ministry and look forward to continue meeting and greeting the St. Edith family. 248-894-7219 |
