Event Name:2021 Christmas Outreach/Giving Tree
Date:November 27, 2021
Start Time:All Day Event
Duration:1 day
Description:

2021 Christmas Giving Tree & Food Collection

When you come to Mass beginning the weekend of November 20 & 21, you will notice the Giving Tree in the Gathering Area. We decided to again put the tree out with the tags on it a week prior to Thanksgiving to enable folks to take advantage of the Black Friday deals!

We have tags for local families, some families through Loaves & Fishes of Southwest Detroit and Franciscan Ministries in Detroit for their street ministry.

We also ask for gift cards for Kroger, Meijer and Gas Stations in any denomination.

Note that there are “Code Names” on each tag which are used to protect the privacy of those we help at this time of the year.

There will also be a Drop Box in the Gathering Area for non- perishable food donations.

If you choose to take a tag, please wrap the gift, attach the tag to it, and put it back under the tree. All gifts and food donations should be returned by Monday, December 13. Unfortunately any gifts that come in late cannot be used, so please be sure to return them on time!

Our Volunteer Elves will be sorting and packing the gifts and food for delivery on Saturday, December 18th.

As always, if you would like to make a monetary donation to help defray the cost of the perishable foods we purchase for our families that would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance for your ongoing support of this most worthy Outreach project!

If you have any questions please call Toni Sheffield – Christian Service Office at (734) 464-1222 Ext 309
tsheffield@stedith.org.
