Event Details

Event Name:Lenten Almsgiving Project (Loaves and Fishes)
Date:February 27, 2021
Start Time:All Day Event
Duration:2 days
Location:Gathering Space in Church
Description:

As we have done for the past few years, during Lent we will be doing a special collection of items (or in one case, money) for a different organization every weekend as our “Lenten Almsgiving Project.” You may choose to participate in as many of them as you would like.  Below you will find a schedule of what will be collected each weekend.  Every week there will be a bulletin article reminding you of what will be collected for the following weekend, with a little bit of info on each organization we are helping.

Please note: Since this is what can only be described as a very “not normal” time it’s important that you drop your donations off to the Gathering Area during the hours that the church doors are unlocked for Mass on Saturday and Sunday, as the church building is not unlocked during the week and most employees are working remotely most of the time.  Thank you for your understanding throughout the very unusual time in history; there’s light at the end of the tunnel and next year I feel confident we will be back to normal!

February 28    LOAVES & FISHES
Canned soups and stews, pasta and pasta sauce, cereal

March 7           SEEDLINGS BRAILLE BOOKS FOR CHILDREN
We will be collecting monetary donations to help provide these books for blind children.
Note: if donations to Seedlings are via check, the check should be made out to Seedlings

March 14         RIGHT TO LIFE BABY SHOWER
New or very gently used baby items
(click here for more information and suggestions on items to donate
