Welcome to St. Edith Catholic Church!

ALL ARE WELCOME AT ST. EDITH PARISH

We will welcome you regardless of your present status in the Catholic Church. We will welcome you regardless of your current family situation or marital status. We will welcome you if you are a staunch Catholic or do not like organized religion. We will not judge you based upon your personal history, age, race, ethnic background, appearance, sexual orientation or gender identity. We welcome children, even when they act like children. If there is no crying, our Parish is dying! We are all on a spiritual journey, trying to find our way. All are welcome to join us on our spiritual journey at St. Edith.

Can we bring you the Eucharist?

If you or someone you know is homebound, hospitalized, in assisted care, or just plain ill and seek the Eucharist. Please contact Deacon Don. to arrange for one of our Home Bound Ministers to bring Holy Communion, pray, and visit with those who are unable to come to Church to receive the Eucharist. Arrangements can be made to have regular visits, please contact us!!

Sandwich Squad - New Ministry

We are starting a new ministry here at St. Edith and it involves sandwiches! Specifically, we will be providing 120 sandwiches monthly for “Into the Fire” ministry which serves people who are hungry on the streets of Detroit. This is an amazing opportunity to truly be the hands and feet of Jesus as we make sandwiches for hungry neighbors.  I am looking for a Coordinator or two to help organize this effort and keep it rolling. If you are looking for a way to use your time and talent to help others, this may be for you. Please contact me if you are interested.  I am also looking for groups at Church or School (could be a sports team, men’s/women’s/mom’s/dad’s group, Scouts, families, Commissions, etc.) to sign up to take on the sandwich making duties for one month of the year. This would also include providing the bread, lunchmeat, cheese, and sandwich baggies to make the sandwiches. Groups or individuals can sign up to make all 120 sandwiches for the month, or any amount in increments of 20. We’ll also have months where we gather at Church and individuals can make sandwiches. Monetary donations will be needed to help offset the cost of food items when we don’t have a group covering the expenses. I’m estimating it will cost about $170/month. If you want to learn more about this opportunity, please contact Patti Kelly for details at 734-464-1222, ext. 301 or pkelly@stedith.org.  If your group is ready to step up to commit to a month for this effort, please visit the Sign Up Genius at: https://www.stedith.org/sandwich-squad

Welcome to St. Edith Catholic School!

Congratulations to our Varsity #1 Boys Team and Coaches for winning a memorable game against St. Anne last Saturday, at CC High School.  It was a one point game in the 4th quarter, yet our boys persevered and brought home the CYO Championship, winning 56-44!  Congratulations on an unforgettable season. We look forward to raising their banner next season!

A huge THANK YOU to our families and fans for all of the time, dedication, passion and support this year. This program is what it is because of the unselfish and caring people we have in the program!

God Bless and best of luck as our student-athletes moving on to their Spring sports and/or obligations.

Ladies' Night Out

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are sad to announce that Ladies' Night Out is cancelled. More information regarding refunds will be sent out.

Morning Drop Off - ** Reminder **

This is a reminder when dropping your student off please follow the arrows outlined in the map below. If you would like to park and walk your child up, you are to park on the gym side of the building. Parking on the parish office/church side is a safety risk. Often cars/trucks/SUVs cannot see students who are running/walking across the parking lot on that side. Also, drivers please make sure you are being cautious as you navigate the parking lot. Thank you for working with us in order to keep our students safe.
