Event Name:Thanksgiving Outreach Food Collection
Date:November 9, 2019
Start Time:All Day Event
Duration:2 days
Description:

Beginning the weekend of October 26th, and running for four consecutive weekends, we will be collecting food for our annual Thanksgiving Outreach, where we deliver everything needed for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner as well as some extra food to local families in need.  The last weekend to donate food will be the weekend of November 16 & 17.  We will sort through the food that following week, and deliver to our families on Saturday, November 23rd.

We will take any non-perishable food items you may want to donate.  We will also happily accept monetary donations to help defray the cost of the perishable items we need to purchase from the grocery store. If you are doing so by check, please make the check out to St Edith Church, and put “Thanksgiving Outreach” in the memo area.

Below is a list of suggested donations, but anything non-perishable will be accepted.  Please remember to check expiration dates before donating.

  • Canned Yams
  • Bags of Marshmallows
  • Canned pumpkin
  • Pie crust mix
  • Canned vegetables
  • Canned fruit
  • Bags of stuffing
  • Canned/bottled turkey gravy

Thank you in advance for always supporting this most worthwhile Outreach.

Important Message from
St. Edith Catholic School

On April 2, 2020 Governor Gretchen Whitmer issued Executive Order 2020-35, which extended the closure of all K-12 school buildings – public, private, and boarding – to all students for the remainder of the school year. Like her prior executive orders, this was done to help combat the spread of Coronavirus. St. Edith Catholic School, along with all Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Detroit, is prepared to complete this academic year via distance learning instruction.

Please read this letter from the AOD Catholic School Superintendant regarding the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.

Virtual Learning

Our teachers, students and parents have done a great job transitioning to virtual learning! Here are some photos and a video of how things are going!
