Worship Commission
This commission meets each month to discuss and assist in the preparations for the liturgical celebrations of the parish. Members include the volunteer coordinators of the various liturgical ministries, as well as, anyone from the parish who wishes to be actively involved in the planning and preparations.
Music Ensemble

The Adult Choir, Music Ensemble, Resurrection Choir, Children's Choir, Handbell Choir, and cantors assist in the sung prayer of the assembly. We gather to celebrate Eucharist in song, share in the Body and Blood of Christ, and sing to praise God. Click

Lectors

Lectors study, reflect upon and proclaim God's Word at assigned Sunday Masses throughout the year. Lectors are provided with study guides and are scheduled well in advance.
Ushers

The men and women greet the congregation as they enter the church, assist in the seating of parish members, manage collections and oversee presentation of the gifts from the parish members to the altar, insure an orderly procession during communion, distribution of church papers following Mass and assist where needed during Mass.
Altar Servers

Servers are young people and adults who assist the presider at Mass in various ways. Training is provided by the Pastor.
Sacristans

Keep the vigil light burning at the tabernacle site in the church and chapel. clean candles and glasses used at the altar twice weekly. Launder the purificators, corporal, and towels weekly. Keep the servers' vestments in order. Launder priests' albs and some washable chasubles. Mending and sewing as needed. Replenish hosts and wine for Eucharistic celebrations. Assist the celebrant for Mass as needed. Coordinate and assist funeral Masses. Handle Holy Week preparations.
Coffee/Doughnuts

Individuals host the social time following the 10:00 am Sunday Mass. If you can make coffee, pick up doughnuts and have an outgoing personality, we are looking for you.
Prayer Group

The St. Edith Prayer Group meets on Thursdays at 7:00 pm for music, singing, prayer and friendship in the A/V room. Come and join us.
Liturgical Environment Ministry

The purpose of the Art and Environment Committee is to maintain the inspirational and prayful appearance of our church's worship space. The Art and Environment Committee decorates for seasonal holidays such as Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Pentecost and other special days in the liturgical calendar. Decorating involves designing banners, climbing ladders, hanging banners, arranging flowering plants, making bows, ironing, sewing, watering plants, and cleaning up. A willing heart and an opening in your schedule are the only requirements. Our busiest times is just before the liturgical feasts. If you are interested, please us know.
Wedding Coordinator

Wedding Coordinator (typically assigned in two-person teams) assist the bride, groom and their families through the rehearsal process. They work with the Pastor and the Coordinator of Liturgical Ministries to ensure that the wedding celebrations occur with minimal confusion. The Coordinators also work the day of the wedding, assisting with last-minute details and provide general hospitality to the families.
Funeral Ministry

Members of the various liturgical ministries come together to support the singing and the prayer of the grieving family and their guests during funeral and memorial Masses, Lectors, ushers, greeters and EME's as well as people who would like to help with the singing of the assembly are invited to volunteer for this ministry. The group will meet once a month for song rehearsal and to discuss the ministry's function.
Eucharistic Ministers

EME's are certified lay ministers who serve in two capacities: they assist in distribution of the Eucharist during celebrations in Church, and/or take communion to the sick, elderly, and shut-ins of the community.
Eucharistic Adoration

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration is the adoration of Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist. The Eucharist is displayed, and the community is invited to come worship Jesus at any time. He loves us without limit, and offers Himself to us in the Holy sacrament of the Eucharist. Please consider giving some of your time in love adoration in return.
Baptism Preparation

Parents wishing to have their child Baptized are asked to attend a class. These classes are taught by catechists on a rotating basis. The catechists then assist at the Baptism. You are welcomed to become a catechist in this very spiritually rewarding ministry.
Rite of Christian Initiation

This rite is designed for adults who wish to become Catholic. It is a gradual process that takes place within the community of the faithful. This journey includes classes that take place on Wednesday evenings, a deeper look at the Gospel reading on Sunday mornings, and Christian service opportunities; but most significantly are the special prayers and blessings that take place at Sunday Liturgy throughout the year. Children's Pageant

The Children's Nativity Pageant involves all the children of the parish to join in the reenactment of the wonderful nativity story. The pageant is normally performed after the 5 pm. Mass. Characters include the holy family, the innkeeper, an angel choir, shepherds, the three kings, and a certain special visitor for the baby Jesus.
