Anointing of the Sick

The Church's teaching about the Sacrament of the Sick is that it should not be delayed until "the last moment." It is meant to be celebrated when the person being anointed can appreciate the prayers and consolation being offered by those who have gathered. Should someone be sick, or preparing for surgery and would like to be anointed, if at all possible, please contact us before entering the hospital.  The Sacrament of the Sick is celebrated on an ongoing basis the first weekend of each month after one of the Masses.  Please call the parish office (734) 464-1222 for the time on a particular first weekend.

The following are tentative dates for Anointing of the Sick:

  • Saturday, July 1 -  6:00 pm

  • Sunday, August 6 - 9:30 am

  • Sunday, September 3 - Noon

  • Sunday, October 1 - 6:00 pm

  • Saturday, November 4 - 6:00 pm

  • Sunday, December 3 - 9:30 am
