Alex Mager

Alex Mager

Hello, my name is Alex Mager and I am a member of the St. Edith Parish Pastoral Council. I graduated from Michigan Tech in 2014 with a degree in Chemical Engineering, and I now work locally as a Quality Engineer. After living further away from my office for a few years, I moved to Livonia in January of 2018, and needed to find a parish. I started attending mass at St. Edith regularly after I went to my first mass in February of that year. What kept me coming back to St. Edith was the community. It is a very active community with many friendly people, and those are things I value in a parish. That amount of activity and the number of opportunities for involvement are definitely some of my favorite things about St. Edith. I am new to the parish council as of this year, and this is the first time I've been on a council for any parish I've been a part of, but I have been a lector at past parishes. I'm excited to have the opportunity to share my input to help us all grow in our faith, and I'm excited about the great people I'm going to meet along the way. I am 27 years old and I know I'm younger than a lot of my fellow council members, so I hope that I can help bring the perspective and ideas of our young adults to the council. I see a lot of us every week at mass, so please feel free to share your ideas with me. And that goes for everyone! My phone number is 734-718-6768, so please reach out to me by calling or texting me if you need anything. If you see me in mass, I'll rarely turn down a conversation about my dog, the Red Wings, golf, or smoking meat among many other things, so feel free to strike up a conversation! God Bless!
