The Adult Choir, Music Ensemble, Resurrection Choir, Children's Choir, and cantors assist in the sung prayer of the assembly. We gather to celebrate Eucharist in song, share in the Body and Blood of Christ, and sing to praise God

Music Ensemble

The St. Edith Music Ensemble is a group of young adults who enjoy praising and worshipping God with their special talents.  Our Music Ensemble is comprised of vocalists, guitarists, and instrumentalists of all ages.  They lead our worship at the 11am Mass on the first Sunday of the month and at the 8:30am Mass the third Sunday of the month.  Vocalists and instrumentalists starting from junior high and up are welcome to participate.  Rehearsals will be held twice monthly on Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9pm in the Liturgy and Worship room prior to the Sunday worship.

St. Edith Children's Choir

Members of the Children's Choir are in grades 2 through 7. The children sing several times during the church year. Rehearsals are on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. in the Liturgy and Worship room. The Children's choir is directed by Mona Mason with the assistance of Sally Murphy. The choir is accompanied by Heather Nofar.

Resurrection (Funeral) Choir

Members of the Resurrection Choir are those who are able to share their voices to support the singing for the bereaved of our parish community at parish funerals. Any one having their mornings available for this beautiful ministry are encouraged to be part of this great team of parishioners. Rehearsals are held on the day of parish funeral in the Liturgy and Worship room. The purpose of the choir is to support the singing during the Eucharistic liturgy.

Handbell Choir

Membership in this choir is open to people of all ages including children and adults. Being able to read music is not a requirement. Becoming a part of the handbell choir, will help to open the door of musical expression to those who never thought they would have the opportunity to make music. Commitment is a key ingredient where each ringer plays a number of bells, which no one else in the choir plays. Substitute ringers must be available to play the missing parts of the music. Even if all ringers are there the substitute ringer could be given a part to enhance the music even more. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm in the Liturgy and Worship room. For more information please contact Heather Nofar, Director of Music Ministries.
