Middle School Youth Ministry

St. Edith's Middle School Youth Ministry (EDGE) is a bridge program for our 7th and 8th graders between traditional religious education classes and high school LifeTeen Youth Group meetings. This is in an informal large group setting with small group break out sessions for more in depth discussions about our Catholic faith or social issues concerning teens.  Some meetings are completely fun and social events.

CYT

St. Edith's partners with area parishes offering Middle School events and functions through Catholic Youth Trek (CYT).  These events range from Hayrides to Cosmic Bowling to Service Events.

Catholic Social Teachings Presentation

Watch our most recent Confirmation speaker! Eva Koelzer is a 12th grade intern at St. Edith who has been busy working on expanding our website and outreach programs since November 2016. She spearheaded Operation Christmas Child, directed blanket-making for U of M Hospital's Comprehensive Care patients, and coordinated a partnership between our parish and Lighthouse Warming Center. Eva will be attending Eastern Michigan University next fall studying Nonprofit Administration, to help her achieve her goal of becoming a humanitarian aid worker in underdeveloped countries. Here is her presentation on current world issues as they pertain to the Catholic Church's Social Teachings. See the packet of potential actions that was handed out to the students here!
