Event Name:St. Edith Book Club - Lenten Reflection
Date:March 13, 2018
Start Time:7:00 PM
Duration:1 day
Location:School Library
Description:

As Christmas recedes from memory and January seeps away, it’s time to consider Lent.

As has been our practice in the past, the members of the group will meet on a weekly basis to prepare for Easter with weekly reflection and discussion.

We’ll be using 2 books this year, (available on Kindle each for $0.99), both formatted on daily reflections: Print copies will be available for a small fee.

“Taking Lent to Heart “by Fr. Thomas J. Connery is described as easy-to-read yet thoughtful and heartfelt, a reflections for each day of the season, based on Scripture readings.

“Pope Francis: Living Lent with Mercy: Encouragement and Daily Prayers” by Fr. Warren J. Savage, was inspired by the Pope’s Year of Mercy and accompanied by prayers from Fr. Savage.

Whether you join us just for the season or as your schedule allows, we welcome your insights or just your presence. Meetings will be Tuesday from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM in the Teacher’s Lounge, beginning February 13, 2018.
